Every now and then I like to read a good easy-going, predictable read. It doesn’t have much for plot; no action or twist and turns, just simple – straight to the point, and mind-numbing. I liked this book as I like a rom-com film (which surprisingly enough, it was turned into a film). The language was mostly dialogue, the premise expected and yet it takes you away from the craziness of your own life and gives you a taste of someone who may have it worse than you. As always, it has the highly used characters of the girl you love to hate and the one you hope to come out on top. I would note this book more for it’s easy to follow nature rather than its literary content. I’m not saying that I didn’t enjoy it or I won’t be reading the second installment, I just want you, the readers to know that if you want a book you don’t need to think about – like a cheesy romantic comedy – you will certainly enjoy Emily Giffin’s novel.
