Genre: Teen Paranormal Romance

Laurel was happy with her life, with the normalcy of it all. Switching from being home schooled to public school is a lot easier than she expected and friends came effortlessly. Nothing was changing except for one thing; the most beautiful flower blossomed – right out of her back! Laurel is both mesmerized and scared of her wings but why does she have them? Who is she? With the help of her friend, she finds out that Laurel is a fairy and she may be in trouble. What will happen when a troll is after Laurel and the gateway her farm protects?
This book was a “Free Friday” book on my nook. Some of the free books are great finds but others are you either take it or leave it. This book is one of the formers. I had heard great things about this novel from some coworkers and I like the teen paranormal romance. It was a quick read with an intriguing love triangle and angle on faeries. Faeries have special abilities depending on the season they wore born in and women bloom flowers once a year. In Pike’s world there are faeries and trolls and a whole lot of romantic drama. This is the first in the Laurel Series. I have not read the others but this one is a definite read for those of you who love teen reads.
